SAN JOSE, Calif. (March 10, 2022) – Velodyne Lidar, Inc. (Nasdaq: VLDR, VLDRW) today announced that the city of Rüsselsheim am Main, Germany, has selected Velodyne to deliver an Intelligent Infrastructure Solution to create a city-wide system for truck passage control. Rüsselsheim will use Velodyne’s lidar-based full stack solution for digital monitoring and reporting of trucks that are banned on city streets to ease road congestion and air and noise pollution.
