Bristol Instruments is pleased to announce an addition to its 771 Series Laser Spectrum Analyzer. The new model 771 NIR2 supports the spectral analysis of infrared lasers, with the added benefit of fiber-optic input.
Utilizing proven Michelson interferometer technology with fast Fourier transform analysis of the original 771 Series, the new model 771 NIR2 Laser Spectrum Analyzer is ideal for scientists and engineers who need to characterize the spectral properties of their CW lasers that operate from 1.0 to 2.6 μm. The 771 NIR2 provides spectral resolution up to 2 GHz, and measures wavelength to an accuracy as high as ± 0.0002 nm. Additionally, the 771 NIR2’s convenient pre-aligned fiber-optic input ensures optimal alignment of the laser under test, allowing it to be placed in an out of the way location to conserve valuable optical bench space.
“The 771 Series of Laser Spectrum Analyzers provide the most advanced spectral characterization of virtually any laser,” said Nicolas George, Scientific Products Manager at Bristol Instruments. “With the enhanced operational features of the model 771 NIR2, our customers are ensured uncompromised spectral data and wavelength measurements for the most meaningful experimental results.”
About Bristol Instruments
Since its founding in 2005, Bristol Instruments has solely focused on designing, manufacturing, and marketing precision instruments using its expertise in optical interferometry. Bristol’s flagship products accurately characterize the wavelength and spectral properties of lasers and are used by scientists and engineers at universities and government and industrial laboratories. They are also used for the development and production testing of laser transmitters used in optical fiber communications. In addition, Bristol Instruments provides interferometer-based products to reliably measure critical physical dimensions of materials such as specialty plastic films, medical tubing, and ophthalmic products.
